His own affinity with his subject matter stems from his time as a gamekeeper and working along with nature during the changing seasons, and times of day. The Inn at Whitewell on the R Hodder, (Bridge Pool), is one painting of which its creator is particularly proud. During a visit in 2012 to Burnley University, this Preston artist was pleased to be commissioned to present Queen Elizabeth with a one of his landscape paintings. Geoff Rollinson put a lot of thought into this landscape, as he does all of his commissioned paintings, and it depicts a piece of land that belongs to the crown.
